New SylgenBio logo revealed

Sylgen Animal Health rebrands as SylgenBio

Sylgen Animal Health, a leading provider of innovative agricultural solutions, is proud to announce it is rebranding as SylgenBio. The name change reflects the company’s evolution towards biological products that promote profitable and sustainable agriculture.

“We’re thrilled to introduce our new brand identity, which marks an exciting chapter in our journey,” said Geoff Hooper, Director at SylgenBio. “Our mission remains unchanged – to develop solutions that support farmers in producing high-quality food while protecting the environment. Our rebranding is a natural progression and reinforces our commitment to sustainability and innovative thinking.”

An element of the original name, “Sylgen”, remains in the new branding as it was, and is, inspired by the stream that runs through a farm belonging to one of the company directors, symbolising the importance of water and nutrient cycles for sustainable farming. The “Animal Health” component acknowledged the company’s experience and expertise in the livestock sector.

However, as the company has evolved, so too have its goals. SylgenBio is now exclusively focused on harnessing the power of biology to drive more sustainable agriculture.

“At SylgenBio, we’re dedicated to unlocking this potential through innovative biological solutions that enhance productivity while working in harmony with nature. By leveraging the incredible capabilities of microbes, we can help farmers produce healthy food, profitability and sustainably. We’re excited to be at the forefront of this revolution.”

The company’s flagship product, a slurry inoculant named SlurryForSoil™ (SFORS®), exemplifies the company’s approach.

“Typically, SlurryForSoil offers users an increase in dry matter yields of 29.6%* , significantly reducing the need for artificial fertiliser,” explains Geoff. “It pushes the boundaries of what additives can do. Alongside the usual busting crusts our inoculant, SlurryForSoil, is proven to benefit grass productivity, soil health and carbon emissions.”

In the coming year, the rebranded SylgenBio is set to launch several new products aimed at both the livestock and the arable sectors.

*Based on 15 silage cuts in 8 trials from 2022 to 2025 where each system had two slurry stores enabling treated and untreated comparisons.
